November 4, 2020 BOARD MEETING NOTES
ZOOM VIDEO MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 1833
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chuck Verdon, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson and Jim Pace.

OCTOBER MINUTES: The October board meeting minutes were not presented for approval.
FINANCIAL REPORT: The bank account balance is $7,618.79, the same as reported in October.

VE TESTING: Jim Pace reported that at the October 17 test session, 3 passed the technician test, 2 passed the General test. The session report was electronically submitted to the FCC on Sunday, October 18 and the FCC license database was updated Monday, October 19.
• The next Amateur Radio License test session will be Saturday, December 19.
• Jim asked who knew about the "You Passed - Now What?" handout that used to be available at test sessions. James Van Ornum will email a Microsoft Word copy to Jim. James also pointed out that a .pdf file titled "Lewis County Amateur Radio Grops and Activities" is available on the cvars.org website at  https://www.cvars.org/documents/LewisCountyAmateurActivities.pdf 
WEB SITE: James Van Ornum reported that the annual renewal fee of $49.80 for hosting the cvars.org web site is due 11/24/2020. Also, the annual fee of $16.95 for the cvars.org domain name is due 11/29/2020. The board agreed to pay these fees.
CVARS BOARD ELECTIONS: Jim Pace moved, and Paul Van Dyck seconded, that if there are no additional nominations the slate of board members presented last month be elected by acclamation during the general meeting.
CVARS DECEMBER MEETING: Bill Knepper presented 3 possibilities for a Christmas dinner meeting:
1. Don Lockridge's shop with pot luck;
2. Immanuel Luthern Church catered;
3. Spiffy's Restaurant catered for $20 per person.
The board agreed to Spiffy's..

November 4, 2020 PROGRAM NOTES
The November 4, 2020 ZOOM Video General Meeting was called to order by Chuck Verdon at 7:00 PM.

CALENDAR: TREASURER: Bill Knepper reported no change in the bank balance for the October.
REPEATER: Eugene O'Neill and Mike Payne reported they are still studying intermodulation problems at the Baw Faw site. The installation of the weather receiver is on the to do list.
CVARS BOARD NOMINATIONS: There were no nominations from those present. It was voted to approve the board member slate by acclamation.

PROGRAM - "INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEM (ICS)": Ken Adams presented an overview of the Incident Command System (ICS), a way to plan for and respond to emergencies and other situations that benefit from coordination among several organizations or people. Ken also introduced the National Incident Management System which provides a way to manage responses to major incidents that involve multiple agencies from multiple jurisdictions.

The meeting adjourned at 7:56 PM. There were at least 17 people attending.
