June 3, 2020 BOARD MEETING NOTES
ZOOM VIDEO MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 1825
MEMBERS PRESENT: Bill Harwell, Chuck Verdon, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson, Jim Pace and Kevin Rasku.

MAY MINUTES: Jim Pace moved that the May board meeting minutes be approved as written. Bill Knepper seconded. Board approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Bank Balance: $7,558.79.

VE TESTING: Jim Pace is developing a plan to restart VE conducted amateur license testing. Two or three people would be tested at a session. Three VE proctors plus a VE coordinator would manage the session. A site is needed that can support social distancing of seven people.
SWAPMEET: John Ellingson reported the fairgrounds managers expect we can hold our Swapmeet on Saturday, July 25.
FIELD DAY 2020: Jim Pace moved that the there not be a club-wide event for Field Day 2020, but that members be encouraged to have individual setups. Chuck Verdon seconded. Board approved.
K7PG: Bill Harwell continues to pursue having Gary Litteer's (SK) K7PG call sign assigned to CVARS.

June 3, 2020 PROGRAM NOTES
The June 3, 2020 ZOOM Video General Meeting was called to order by Bill Harwell at 7:04 PM.

CVARS 6:45 SUNDAY NIGHT NET: We have net control stations for June.
TREASURER: Still accepting dues for 2020.
FIELD DAY 2020: CVARS will not compete as a club. Members are encouraged to compete as individuals. http://www.arrl.org/field-day is tracking this year's planning in light of the coronavirus situation.
VE TESTING: There will be information on cvars.org web site about the status of VE Testing.
SWAPMEET: CVARS plans to have its July 25 Swapmeet at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.

PROGRAM: Merle Olmsted, AA4QE, and Jim Pace, K7CEX, discussed their experiences working amateur radio satellites. Satellite tracking programs include:  https://www.m2inc.com/categories/amateur/antennas/vhf-uhf-microwave-antennas/satellite-products.html has antennas and positioners for working satelites.

The meeting adjourned at 8:12 PM. There were 19 people attending.
