October 2, 2019 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 1836 by Chuck Verdon.

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Chuck Verdon, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson, and Kevin Rasku.

September MINUTES:
Approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Bank Balance: $8,164.86

Baw Faw Repeater:
Eugene O'Neill reported that the repeater hung about 3 weeks ago. He has received a firmware update and plans to install it the next chance he has to go up to the repeater site.

K7PG:
No change in status of changing CVARS club call sign from WA7UHD to K7PG (Gary Litteer's call sign).

Swapmeet:
John Ellingson reported that July 18 and July 25, 2020 are available for the swapmeet. The board approved having John checking on other clubs having a hamfest on those dates and letting him pick the date.

Baw Faw Repeater:
The board approved making a $200 donation to the Wilse Morgan WX7P Memorial ARRL Northwestern Division Scholarship in Gary Litteer's name.

Nominations:
The board nominated the incumbent President (Bill Harwell), Vice-President (Chuck Verdon), Secretary (Paul Van Dyck), and At Large Members (Jim Pace and Kevin Rasku) for this year's election. Additional nominations will be accepted from the floor during the November general meeting prior to the election.

MEETING CLOSED: 1911.

October 2, 2019 PROGRAM NOTES
The October 2, 2019 General Meeting was called to order by Chuck Verdon at 7:30 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves with their name, call sign, and home town. The attendance signin sheets were passed around.

The $200 donation to the Wilse Morgan WX7P Memorial ARRL NorthwesternDivision Scholarship in Gary Litteer's name was announced.

The October calendar, which is available at http://cvars.org/, was presented.

Chuck Verdon lead a discusion about what antennas people are using, especially on HF.

The meeting adjourned at 8:33 PM. There were 34 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheet.
