June 5, 2019 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 1840 by Bill Harwell.

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Bill Harwell, Chuck Verdon, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson, Jim Pace and Kevin Rasku.

May MINUTES: Approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT: Bank Balance: $6,156.87

SWAPMEET:
1. This year's rental fee of $322.44 was paid.
2. Eugene O'Neill's mother donated a quilt to be auctioned/raffled at the swap meet.

FIELD DAY:
1. Ropes to support wire antennas will be installed in the trees Friday (6/21) morning, with the antennas attached on Friday evening.
2. James Van Ornum gave the treasurer $58 which was the Field Day food fund left over from previous years.
3. The club will provide hambergers, hot dogs and condiments for supper Saturday (6/22) evening. Attendees will provide pot luck for salads, dessert, side dishes, etc.
4. Plan to have 4 or 5 active stations plus a GOTA station.

BAWFAW WEB DOMAIN RENEWAL: James submitted a paid $16.95 invoice from simplyhosting.org for a 1 year (05/30/2019 to 05/29/2020) renewal of the BawFaw.org domain name. The treasurer reimbursed James.

LEADS AND NEEDS: Jim expressed a need to reach out to hams to help solve their Amateur Radio needs. A "Leads & Needs" time during the monthly CVARS meetings and the weekly Sunday night net will be tried. We need to openly promote linking Elmers with people who need some help/consultation.

June 5, 2019 PROGRAM NOTES
The June 5, 2019 general meeting was called to order by Bill Harwell at 7:33 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves with their name, call sign, city/town, and most memorable Field Day. The attendance signin, and CVARS Sunday Net Controller sheets were passed around. A request was made for someone to work with Rob Majoros for meeting refreshments.

The June calendar, which is available at http://cvars.org/, was presented.

The idea of a "Leads & Needs" time during the monthly CVARS meeting and weekly CVARS radio net was shared. Also a "Want to Sell and Want to Buy" time.

John Ellingson extended an invitation to his "After The Swap Picnic" at his place on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Chuck Verdon, W5KAV, presented plans for Field Day 2019. There were charts on the wall for people to sign up to help with:
1. Friday (6/21) 5:30 PM site setup.
2. Sunday (6/23) 11:00 AM site breakdown.
3. Saturday (6/22) 5:00 PM pot luck dinner.
4. Ropes.
5. Coaxial cables.
6. ...

The meeting adjourned at 8:40 PM. There were 28 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheet.
