April 3, 2019 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: 1839 by Bill Harwell.

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Bill Harwell, Chuck Verdon, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson, and Kevin Rasku.

March MINUTES: Approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
1. Lewis County Fire District #6 Fire Dogs: have not cashed the donation check mailed to them.
2. Chehalis Post Office Box 1281: $134 bill for period from 05/01/2019 to 04/30/2020 received.
3. IRS 501(c)(3): survey received.
3. Washington State Corporation: $10 yearly registration renewal bill received.

NEW BUSINESS:
1. Field Day: 2019 operating schedule from 1100, Saturday, June 22 to 1100, Sunday, June 23. We will setup the Fort Borst Park site on Friday, June 21. Shelter #1 will not be available between 1000 and 1300 on Saturday.
2. Historical Lewis County Bike Ride: 2019 event is scheduled for Saturday, May 11. CVARS, Centralia ARES and Lewis County ARES will work together to provide communication support for the event.

April 3, 2019 PROGRAM NOTES
The April 3, 2019 general meeting was called to order by Bill Harwell at 7:30 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance signin and CVARS Sunday Net Controller sheets were passed around.

The April calendar, which is available at http://cvars.org/, was presented.
A representative from the SeaPac Convention recruited for security volunteers.
Bill Harwell announced a group order for Field Day T-Shirts at $17.95 each.

Bill Knepper, N7GWK, and Paul Barwick, KE7PCB, introduced us to Hamshack Hotline , a free dedicated VOIP telecom service for Amateur Radio operators. This service uses SIP capable phone sets, like the Cisco SPA-504G, many of which are being surplused and available of several web sites. Asterisk is a software PBX, and FreePBX is a graphical user interface for Asterisk.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM. There were 32 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheet.
