February 6, 2019 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Bill Harwell, Chuck Verdon, Paul Van Dyck, Bill Knepper, John Ellingson, and Kevin Rasku.
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by the President at 18:37.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
1. Bill submitted the following account summary:
— CVARS Account Balance: $7,824.33
2. Chuck Verdon moved and Paul Van Dyck seconded that Veda Moline be removed from the
check signature list at Security Bank. Bill Knepper and Paul Van Dyck are to remain
on the list and Bill Harwell is to be added.
The board unanimously approved.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Liability Insurance Renewal:
$250 Premium Notice for Liability Insurance due March 22, 2019. The board agreed to
renew for another year.
SWAP MEET:
John Ellingson reported that the Dairy Barn is not available for July 27.
The shelter immediately to the North of the Dairy Barn is to be paved and
is available on July 27. The board asked John to try to secure the Dairy Barn
for July 20.
REPEATERS:
The new Baw Faw repeater was reinstalled Saturday, February 2. Remote reset via
a 70cm signal is now available. Eugene O'Neill, Tom Herman and Mike Payne
have the reset code.
OLD BUSINESS:
Baw Faw Site Lease:
The new lease is $900/year for 5 years. Chuck Verdon moved and Paul Van Dyck seconded
that the President sign the lease, send the first year's payment and handle future
renewals as regular bills..
The board unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Don McDougall Donation:
Dick Morrison reported that Don has donated Amateur Radio books and parts to CVARS.
The books are intented for a lending library. Dick asked the board how they wanted to
handle the donation. It was agreed that that question should be submitted to
the membership present at the February 6, 2019 general meeting.
2. Field Day:
Chuck Verdon reported that the Borst Park shelter #1 is not available between
10AM and 3PM on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The board agreed to work around this.

The board meeting was adjourned at 19:28.
February 6, 2019 PROGRAM NOTES
The February 6, 2019 general meeting was called to order by Bill Harwell at
7:30 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by
people introducing themselves.
The attendance signin and CVARS Sunday Net Controller sheets were passed around.
The February calendar,
which is available at http://cvars.org/, was presented.
James Van Ornum gave an overview of the Electronics Workshop.
April Van Dyck volunteered to manage the lending library of books.
Tom Herman discussed the installation and operation of radio equipment in motor vehicles.
The meeting wraped up with a drawing for the 50/50.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.
There were 30 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheet.
