What a great evening we had at the CVARS Christmas pot-luck dinner on December 7th at the Virgil R. Lee Community Center! Thanks to everyone who came, who helped set up the space, who prepared food, who played along with the gift exchange game, and who helped clean up afterwards.

We will not have the CVARS Sunday 8PM net on December 25 – enjoy your holiday! I will open the net on January 1 at 8PM if you would like to join us.

Some of us are interested in using packet radio – especially useful when traditional communications methods are knocked out. On Wednesday, January 11, 2012, a group of us are meeting at 7 PM at the Law and Justice building on Main Street in Chehalis to continue to develop our skills. Come on out if you are interested, watch us make our systems work or bring your packet station. Either way, it should be fun and interesting.
