CVARS WA7UHD Sunday Night Net Controller Schedule
The CVARS WA7UHD Net meets Sunday at 8 PM local time. While the Penning Hill repeater is being repaired, we will meet on the K7KFM repeater on 146.740 MHz, – offset, 110.9 Hz tone. The modified preamble is at:

June 6, 2018 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Eugene O'Neill; Jerry Randall; John Ellingson; Bill Knepper.
Absent were Paul Van Dyck; Veda Moline and Loren Moline.

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by the President at 18:37.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Bill presented the following account summaries:
CVARS Account Balance:              $7,701.29
BAW FAW Account Balance:        $1,533.89

501(c)(3):
Bill is looking into the process of registering with the IRS as a non-profit organization. So far it looks like there is a one-time registration fee of $250.

FIELD DAY:
Field Day setup will be at Borst Park shelter #1 starting at 5 PM on Friday, June 22. On the air time is 11 AM on Saturday, June 23, to 11 AM on Sunday, June 24.

SWAP MEET:
Setup for the Swap Meet will be 7 AM on Saturday, July 21, in the Dairy Barn at The Southwest Washington Fair, 2555 N National Ave, Chehalis.

John reported that he purchased 15 new signs at $8 each plus some arrows for $20.

REPEATER REPORT:
Eugene reported that work continues on the Baw Faw Peak repeater to bring it up to its previous performance. The duplexer cans, which act as very narrow bandpass filters for the receiver and the transmitter, have suffered some water damage. Eugene will try to rebuild the cans.

Eugene also reported that the Penning Hill repeater controller has been sent back to Arcom for repair and updating. It has also been determined that the repeater radio needs to be repaired. While the repeater is being repaired, the CVARS Sunday 8PM net will be hosted on Dick Morrison's K7KFM repeater on 146.740 MHz.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS:
Eugene mentioned the Port Ludlow Amateur Radio Club's Swap Meet on Saturday, June 9.

James Van Ornum mentioned the Amateur Radio License exam session on Tuesday, June 26, at 7PM at the LDS Church, 2195 Jackson Highway, Chehalis.

The board meeting was adjourned at 19:04.

June 6, 2018 PROGRAM NOTES
The June 6, 2018 general meeting was called to order by Eugene at 7:30 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance signin sheet was passed around.

The June and August calendars, which are available at http://cvars.org/, were presented. Bill Knepper said the July 9 Centralia ARES Ham Radio Lab is cancelled.

Plans for the June 23-24 Field Day were reviewed. Setup will start at 5 PM on Friday at shelter #1 in Borst Park. Lyle Olmsted's son will cook hamburgers and Bill Harwell will cook breakfast.

Plans for the July 21 Swapmeet were reviewed. Setup will start at 7 AM on Saturday at the Dairy Barn in the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds. The signs were distributed for placement on Wednesday, July 18.

Klaus Neubert, AC7MG shared that the Olympia Amateur Radio Society has a web site at http://oars-ve.duckdns.org/ with general information aboutAmateur Radio Exams. In addition, there are links to the question pools and study guides at http://oars-ve.duckdns.org/misc/index.html .
