January 3, 2018 BOARD MEETING NOTES
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Eugene O'Neill; Jerry Randall; Veda Moline; John Ellingson; Loren Moline.
Absent were Paul Van Dyck and Bill Knepper.

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by the President at 18:31.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Veda presented the following account summaries:
CVARS Account Balance:              $8,438.49
BAW FAW Account Balance:        $1,720.49

REPEATER REPORT:
Plans are to install the new transceiver and controller the weekend of January 6 and 7, 2018.

TRIPLEXER PROJECT:
Eugene brought up the Electronics Workshop project to build a tri-plexer and bandpass filters to enable the sharing of 1 triband antenna by 3 transceivers on 10, 15 and 20 meters. The setup would be used a Field Day. The board agreed to support the project with funds to buy the components needed.

RADIO MOBILE INSTALLATION WORKSHOP:
Eugene proposed a workshop for this summer about installing ham radios in cars or trucks. It was suggested that it be held on Saturday, July 7.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS:
James Van Ornum asked the board if they wanted make a donation to the Lewis County Fire District #6 Fire Dogs in appreciation of being able to meet at Styation 61, and to Mary and Gerald Fischer in appreciation of locating the CVARS 145.430 MHz repeater on their property. The board agreed to donation $200 to the Fire Dogs and $150 to the Fischers.

Eugene said he is helping Reita Campbell find a buyer of Jim's antennas and towers.

The board meeting was adjourned at 18:59.

January 3, 2018 PROGRAM NOTES
The January 3, 2018 general meeting was called to order by Eugene at 7:30 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance signin, 2018 Refreshments, Christmas Pot-Luck and CVARS Sunday 8PM Net Controller sheets were passed around.

The January and February calendars, which are available at http://cvars.org/, were presented.

Bill Harwell present a "Journey Through His Ham Radio Career."

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 PM. There were 24 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheet.
