May 3, 2017 BOARD MEETING MINUTES

MEMBERS PRESENT:
Eugene O’Neill; Jerry Randall; Paul Van Dyke; Veda Moline; John Ellingson; Loren Moline

CALL TO ORDER:
Eugene called the board meeting to order at 1830 Pacific Time.

PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES:
An amendment was made to the April meeting minutes to read that the board approved paying the BawFaw.org domain registration fee for another year. This amended minutes were approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Veda presented the following account summaries:
CVARS Account Balance:              $ 6,855.97
BAW FAW Account Balance:        $ 3,201.54

The Post Office Box rental for 2017 has been paid.

BOARD BUSINESS:
Eugene discussed the status of planning for Field Day June 24-25.

Jewelry and other items may be offered for sale at Swapmeet. Reita and Jim have done refreshments in the past. Contact will be made to discuss with them. May recruit others. James will check out Certificate of Insurance. A budget and prizes were planned for door prizes at the Swapmeet such as mobile, handheld, odds and ends. $200 was approved as a budget.

Eugene got a new key to the West gate to access the Baw Faw repeater site.

Penning repeater control radio antenna report: Eugene reported the solder repair has been done successfully.

Refreshments sheet has been lost so a new one should be generated.

ADJOURNMENT:
Eugene adjourned the meeting at 1859 Pacific Time.

May 3, 2017 PROGRAM NOTES

The May 3, 2017 general meeting was called to order by Eugene at 7:32 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance sheets, refreshment sign-up sheet and CVARS Sunday 8PM Net Controller sheet were passed around.

After reviewing the CVARS calendar for May and June, Eugene played an ARRL video titled “Identifying Power Line Noise” available on YouTube at:
