The CVARS WA7UHD Net meets Sunday at 8 PM local time on 145.430 MHz –offset, 110.9 Hz tone. Preamble is at: http://cvars.org/net_ctrl_form.html. Net controllers are:

October 5, 2016 BOARD MEETING MINUTES

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: 

Eugene O’Neill; Veda Moline; Loren Moline; Bill Knepper; James Van Ornum; John Ellingson; Paul Van Dyck

 

CALL TO ORDER:

 James called the meeting to order at 1835.  The minutes were presented, reviewed, and were approved as amended by James. 

 

FINANCIAL:

Financial report was discussed and approved.  Eugene said he would refund any leftover funds from the repeater maintenance.  CVARS account total:  $7,328.65.  Baw Faw account total:  $3,716.54.

 

NOMINATIONS: 

Eugene is willing to run for president.  Vice presidency is vacant.  Paul is willing to run for secretary, Veda is willing to run for treasurer, and John is willing to run for an at-large position again. 

 

REPEATER:

Eugene took a crew up to the repeater and put antenna up, took down the 220-MHz antenna.  A path was cut and a drainage ditch was dug.  New metal roof was placed.  Eugene gave a complete report of all the work that was done.  He will report further progress.  Eugene O’Neill and Mike Payne each have a key to a Weyerhaeuser gate to access the Baw Faw site.

 

CVARS MAIL SERVER:  

Mail to CVARS officers at the e-mail address is forwarded to individuals, yet stored on the CVARS server as a permanent record.  Yahoo group has received little to no traffic. 

 

DEPOSIT FROM SW FAIR: 

John will make reservation for 2017 and the decision will be made as to whether or not to roll the deposit over each year or get it back and resubmit it each year. 

 

The meeting was adjourned at 1906.

October 5, 2016 PROGRAM MINUTES

 

The July 6, 2016 general meeting was called to order by James at 7:30 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance sheets, CVARS Sunday 8PM Net Controller sheet, and sign-up sheets for monthly refreshments were passed around.

 

James presented the proposed CVARS Board realignment (James – president; Eugene – vice-president; Paul – secretary; Veda – treasurer; and 2 vacant at-large members) to the membership. The presented slate was approved by voice vote.

 

John talked about the Swapmeet July 23. We will setup the facility Saturday morning starting at 7 AM. The road signs were distributed for placement Saturday morning.

“Field Day in Alaska” Jeff Mayfield, KE7ACE

 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 pm. There were 24 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheets.
