CVARS WA7UHD Sunday Night Net Controller Schedule

 

The CVARS WA7UHD Net meets Sunday at 8 PM local time on 145.430 MHz –offset, 110.9 Hz tone. Net controllers are:

                November     22    – Barbara Southern, AC7ET

                November     29    – James Van Ornum, AE7TF

NOVEMBER MEETING MINUTES

 

The November 4, 2015 board meeting was called to order by Linc Haymaker at 1848. Board members present were Linc Haymaker, Eugene O’Neill, James Van Ornum, Teresa Haymaker, Reita Campbell and John Ellingson.

 

We still need a Refreshments Chairperson for 2016. Bob Majoros has volunteered to help, but we need to have a 2nd person involved.

 

The announcement for the Christmas Pot-Luck Dinner was reviewed and the following wording was approved:

The board nominations for 2016 are:

                President: Linc Haymaker

                Vice-President: Eugene O’Neill

                Secretary: Veda Moline

                2 At-Large Members: Jerry Randall, Paul Van Dyck, John Ellingson, James Van Ornum

 

James reported that an application for the email address WA7UHD@arrl.net has been submitted. It is not active yet.

 

Teresa recommended that further work on revising the CVARS Bylaws and creating a CVARS Policies document be postponed until the new Board is installed.

 

Linc has transceivers for use on the control channel for the 2 CVARS repeaters.

 

Treasurer’s report:      CVARS balance is $5,667.15, a decrease of $97.88 from September.

Baw Faw balance is $4,377.66, a decrease of $84.95 from September.

 

The board meeting was adjourned at 1906 by Linc Haymaker.

 

The November 4, 2015 general meeting was called to order by Linc Haymaker at 1930 with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance sheets, CVARS Sunday 8PM Net Controller sheet and Christmas Dinnersalad/side dish/dessert sign-up sheet were passed around.

 

Announcements included:

1.       The November and December calendars were highlighted.

2.       The details for the Christmas Pot-Luck Dinner in December. John Ellingson will prepare a ham and Bill Harwell will prepare a smoked turkey. Both will be reimbursed for costs.

3.       Barnes & Noble Mini Maker Faire November 6-9.

4.       The Electronics Workshop 11/ 19 at 7 PM, LCFD#6 – station 61, Chehalis, Antenna Analyzers.

5.       Technician license class at Silver Creek Ethel Grange in Ethel has been cancelled.

6.       A Volunteer Examiner test session 11/07 at 2:30 PM, Immanuel Luthern Church, Centralia.

7.       Field Day 2015 results for category 5F.

8.       Ballots for the 2016 board were passed out to dues paying members.

 

Elected 2016 board members are:

                President: Linc Haymaker

                Vice-President: Eugene O’Neill

                Secretary: Veda Moline

                2 At-Large Members: Paul Van Dyck, James Van Ornum

 

The speaker for the evening was Scott Currie, NS7C introducing us to APRS.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 2108 after the 50/50 drawing. There were 25 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheets.
