CVARS WA7UHD Sunday Night Net Controller Schedule

 

The CVARS WA7UHD Net meets Sunday at 8 PM local time on 145.430 MHz –offset, 110.9 Hz tone. Net controllers are:

MARCH MEETING MINUTES

 

The March 4, 2015 board meeting was called to order by Linc Haymaker at 1847. Board members present were Linc Haymaker, James Van Ornum, Teresa Haymaker, Reita Campbell, John Ellingson, Don McDougall.

 

The transfer of funds from the former Baw Faw Repeater Group (BFRG) has happened and the Weyerhaeuser lease for 2015 has been paid.

 

The club’s liability insurance premium of $250 due March 22, 2015 was paid and the new policy was received electronically by James.

 

The club station license WA7UHD was renewed, it now expires on 4/24/2025.

 

Teresa reported a balance of $5,066.58 in the CVARS checking account at Security State Bank as of March 2, 2015. There is $3,766.61 in the Baw Faw account.

 

The board meeting was adjourned at 1903 by Linc Haymaker.

 

The March 4, 2015 general meeting was called to order by Linc Haymaker at 1930 with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by people introducing themselves. The attendance sheets and CVARS Sunday 8PM Net Controller sheet were passed around.

 

It was recognized that Joel Chandler, AF7OM, passed the Technician, General and Extra exams this month; Grant Kistler, KG7RHY, Nathan Kunishige, KG7RHZ, and Jeremy Smith, KG7RQI, passed the Technician exam; Mary Fischer, KF7HXM, passed the General exam.

 

CVARS dues are collected yearly and are due by the end of February.

 

The ARRL is asking members to comment by April 19 on possible changes to the League’s HF Band Plans. Jim Pace, ARRL Northwestern Division Director, Expanded on the proposal. More information is available at: http://www.arrl.org/news/arrl-seeks-member-input-on-draft-hf-band-plan-proposals

The speaker for the evening was Grover Laseke, KG7O. Grover spoke about Summits on the Air, giving us the SOTA definition of a summit and the roles of activators and chasers.See:

The meeting was adjourned at 2045 after the 50/50 drawing. There were 31 people registering their attendance on the attendance sheets.
